Roofers in New Alresford
Roofing for the Georgian streets of Alresford and the newer estates behind them, done with the right tiles and the right slate.

A Georgian town with a conservation area
Broad Street, West Street and East Street were rebuilt after the fires of the sixteen and seventeen hundreds, which is why so much of Alresford is Georgian brick behind colour-washed fronts. The roofs on those houses are clay tile and slate, some of it very old, on timbers that were never square to begin with. Most of the town centre is a conservation area, so a re-roof has to be done in materials that match what is there, and a repair has to be done so it does not show.
Behind the Georgian streets the town carries on into the twentieth century: the estates on the Sun Hill side and along the roads out towards Bishop's Sutton and the Watercress Line are post-war houses and bungalows under concrete tiles. Those are simpler roofs and they get simpler jobs: a re-roof when the tiles and felt have had their life, a new fascia and gutter run, a flat roof on the garage.

Alresford work
On the old houses: slipped and broken slates and clay tiles replaced like for like, valleys and lead re-dressed, ridge and hip tiles re-bedded, chimneys re-pointed or taken down and rebuilt in matching brick. Where a roof is past repair, a full re-roof in clay tile or slate that suits the street. On the newer estates: re-roofs in concrete tile, ridge work, fascias and gutters. Anywhere in the town: fibreglass flat roofs on extensions, with roof lanterns and skylights set into them where the kitchen wants the light.
Callum comes and looks, tells you what the roof actually needs, and puts a price on it in writing. No fee to come and look.
