Flat roofs in Bordon
Fibreglass flat roofs for the garages, extensions, porches and dormers of Whitehill and Bordon, where the post-war houses were built with felt that has long since given up.

Why Bordon has so many flat roofs
Whitehill and Bordon grew up round the army camp, and most of the housing went up in the fifties, sixties and seventies to go with it. That was the era of the flat-roofed garage, the flat-roofed porch and the flat-roofed rear extension, and the town is full of them. With the garrison gone and the town being rebuilt around Prince Philip Park, there is also a lot of new housing, but it is the older streets where the flat roofs are now the problem.
Those roofs were felted. Felt blisters in the sun, splits at the upstands, ponds where the deck has sagged, and gets patched with more felt until the boards underneath are soft. Every patch is a few more years and then the same leak again. A fibreglass roof, GRP, is laid as one piece over a new deck with no joins to fail, and it is the last time that roof needs doing for a very long time.

Bordon flat roof work
Garage roofs, the commonest job in the town. Rear extension roofs, including the ones that want a roof lantern or a skylight cut in to bring light into the kitchen. Dormer roofs, where the felt on top of a loft dormer has gone and the water shows up in the bedroom ceiling. Porch roofs. New edge trims, drips and outlets so the water goes where it should, and the fascia and gutter replaced with it if the old timber is gone. Every one of them in fibreglass, not felt.
If it turns out the main pitched roof is the problem, we do those too. Have a look at the roofing page or ring and ask.
