Roofers in Liss
Roof repairs and re-roofs for West Liss, East Liss and Hill Brow, where the trees are the roof's biggest problem.

A village in two halves, under trees
Liss is really two villages. West Liss sits on the old Portsmouth road with the church and the older cottages, East Liss grew up round the station with Victorian and Edwardian villas and railway cottages, and the two have filled in between with bungalows and houses from the sixties onwards. Hill Brow climbs above it all. The roofs run the whole range: clay tile on the old, slate on the villas, concrete on the rest.
What every Liss roof has in common is trees. The village sits in woodland on sandy ground, and leaves, needles and moss end up in the gutters, the valleys and the hips. A blocked valley on a Victorian villa sends water under the slates and into the ceiling below, and it is usually the first sign anyone has that the roof needs attention. Gutters and valleys are where most Liss roof jobs start.

What we do in Liss
Valleys cleared, re-lined and re-leaded. Gutters and downpipes replaced, with the fascia and soffit if the timber behind has gone. Slate and tile repairs on the villas, slipped tiles and cracked ridge on the bungalows. Full re-roofs where the felt has perished, with new breathable membrane, battens and tiles. Chimneys re-pointed or rebuilt. Fibreglass flat roofs on extensions and garages, which on a shaded plot is a better answer than felt.
Send your name, number and the road and Callum will come and look. The price comes in writing and it is free either way.
