Flat roofs in Waterlooville
Fibreglass flat roofs for Waterlooville, Cowplain, Purbrook and Horndean, on the garages, extensions and dormers that the town was built with.

A twentieth-century town, and its flat roofs
Waterlooville started as a coaching stop, named after the inn, and then grew almost entirely in the twentieth century into the town it is now: London Road down the middle, and estate after estate through Cowplain, Purbrook, Lovedean and up to Horndean, with Berewood going up on the west side today. Houses built from the fifties to the eighties came with flat roofs as standard: the garage, the porch, the rear extension, the loft dormer. There are thousands of them in the town and most were felted.
Felt does not like this coast. Sun blisters it, salt air and wind work at the edges, and a roof that ponds because the deck has dropped will find the split in the felt eventually. Patching it with more felt buys a few years and then the same leak comes back. Fibreglass is different: a boarded deck, a resin and glass-mat laminate laid wet across the whole roof, cured hard, then top-coated in grey. There are no seams to lift because there are no seams, and it shrugs off the weather that comes up from the Solent.

Waterlooville flat roof jobs
The double garage between two semis, which is the Waterlooville roof more than any other. The rear extension that was felted twenty years ago and has been patched twice since. The kitchen extension that wants a roof lantern set into a new fibreglass deck so the room stops being dark. The loft dormer whose felt has failed and whose bedroom ceiling shows it. The porch. Each one gets a new deck where the old one is soft, new edge trims and outlets so the rain goes into the gutter and not down the brickwork, and a fascia and gutter to match if the old timber has had it.
If the main pitched roof turns out to be the problem, we do those as well. See the roofing page, or ring and describe it.
